Steve McBride has been a meditor of family disputes since 2003.  In addition to basic and advanced mediation training from the Colorado Bar Association, he has had advanced family law mediation training from the Elledge Group and Zena Zumeta, and training in Adult Guardianship/Family Caregiver Mediation from The Center for Social Gerontology in Ann Arbor, and in Conservatorship from the Denver Probate Court.  He is recognized as a Professional Mediator by the Colorado Council of Mediators and Mediation Organizations, and is a Practitioner Member of the Association of Conflict Resolution.

Previously, Steve had a successful career in management consulting both in the US and Europe.  In addition to being a partner in a 1000 person London-based firm of accountants and business advisors, Steve was CEO for seven years of a firm specializing in organization development before returning to the US where he spent three years with a private equity firm where his focus was on organization development issues in acquired companies. 

Steve has had personal experience as a caregiver for an elder and has personally faced the challenge of dealing with family conflict regarding the best interests of a parent.

Steve holds a BS from Nebraska Wesleyan University and an MPIA from the University of Pittsburgh.  He has done additional post graduate work in Public Policy Analysis.  Steve is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst and is accepted by Douglas County Court as an expert and as an Early Neutral Evaluator on divorce financial matters. He is a Patron of the Colorado Bar Association and a member of its Family Law and Alternate Dispute Resolution Sections.  He is  a member of the Association of Conflict Resolution and a member of its family and elder ADR sections.

Steve is a husband, father, grandfather, musician, artist and former rugby player and coach. His wife Jennifer is a Vice President of Horan and McConaty and Founder of The Heartlight Center for Grief Support and Education.
