Colorado Adult Protective Services Suspected or known incidents of adult abuse, neglect, and exploitation should be reported to Adult Protective Services programs in the County Departments of Social (Human) Services where the adult resides.

National Center on Elder Abuse Committed to helping national, state, and local partners in the field be fully prepared to ensure that older Americans will live with dignity, integrity, independence, and without abuse, neglect, and exploitation. The NCEA is a resource for policy makers, social service and health care practitioners, the justice system, researchers, advocates, and families.
 
Aging in Colorado
Colorado State Unit on Aging The State Unit on Aging is dedicated to keeping seniors independent in their homes through the delivery of services funded by the Older Americans Act and Older Coloradans Act programs. The State Unit on Aging works closely with 16 Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) to create a comprehensive package of community services.

Financial Help
Colorado Adult Financial Services (Division of Aging)
The mission of the Adult Financial Services section is to develop rules, policies, and procedures and to assist the County Departments of Social (Human) Services who provide financial grants to low-income aged, blind, and disabled persons to assist them in meeting basic living costs and to assist in the payment of funeral, burial, and/or cremation costs for eligible individuals.  
Medicaid in Colorado
Information about eligibility for Medicaid
Old Age Pension The Old Age Pension (OAP) program provides financial assistance and may provide medical benefits for low-income adults age 60 or older. They must meet basic eligibility requirements to be eligible for this program.
Aid to the Needy Disabled The Aid To The Needy Disabled (AND) program provides cash assistance to low-income Colorado residents, age 18 to 59, who have at least a six-month total disability that precludes them from working.
Aid to the Blind The Aid To The Blind (AB) program provides cash assistance to low-income Colorado residents who are under age 60 and who have at least a six-month total disability that precludes them from working.
Colorado Supplement The Colorado Supplement (CS) program provides cash assistance to a Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipient who does not receive the full SSI benefit.
Burial Assistance The Burial Assistance program provides financial assistance to help pay for funeral, burial, and/or cremation costs.
Adult Foster Care Adult Foster Care (AFC) provides a financial allowance to pay for residential care to an approved facility for eligible applicants. 
US Repatriation The Repatriation Program is a federally funded program that helps Americans in other countries who are returning or being returned to the U.S. because of illness or destitution. The U.S. Department of State certifies which persons are eligible for assistance under this program.
